With over 15 years of experience in branding and design, Emily combines expertise in marketing and promotion, creative direction, user experience, and technical design skills for digital and print media. Throughout her career, Emily has played an integral role in launching new products and campaigns, revitalizing familiar brands, and distilling abstract or complicated ideas into clear and concise messages.
She has worked with a wide range of clients including large national corporations, small owner-operated business, government organizations, and non-profits. Before starting Tangible Designs, Emily worked at Ketchum Public Relations and Advertising in San Francisco, where she designed for large national clients such as Chase Credit Cards, Clorox, ConAgra, DIRECTV, Ghirardelli, Häagen-Dazs, Kikkoman, and the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association in the B2B and B2C areas.
She helped Kikkoman introduce umami to chefs, Clorox launch the Bleach Pen, DIRECTV gain new subscribers in the restaurant sector, and Ghirardelli launch its new line of intense dark chocolates. While designing advertising campaigns and public relations materials, Emily art directed photoshoots, collaborated with top-notch illustrators, and helped craft pitches for new business.
In the Washington, DC, area, Emily was the art director at KSA-Plus Communications in Arlington, VA, where she specialized in education-related and non-profit communications design for clients such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, DC Public Schools, and the U.S. Department of Education. Emily crafted brand identities for new programs and re-branded already established organizations by developing concepts for logos, marketing collateral, data visualizations, infographics, email campaigns, and complex websites built from the ground up.

WHY TANGIBLE DESIGNS?
Emily is a great, professional resource for our team. She is super responsive, creative, and easy to work with.
I am so super pleased with the logo that Emily worked on for me. She is so talented and always so patient with me—but she knows just when to tell me to calm down when I’m being uppity (she has worked with me professionally on other client work for a number of years, so she knows how intensely picky I can be). I love working with her, and you will too, if you ever need a new logo, marketing materials, website design, annual report—anything that needs to be well-designed to reach your audience.
Emily—thank you so hard. I am a wonderfully happy customer of Tangible Designs!
Emily was very responsive to my request for a quick-turnaround on a graphic that I wanted to have created for my business. Not only did she give me a very reasonable price, but she over-delivered and got it to me faster than I was expecting. Now I have a professional looking graphic that I can edit any time I want using Google Sheets, and it’s fantastic. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who is looking for a website or graphic designer.
Emily was easy to work with, fast, reliable, and provided great guidance. I was impressed with her design skills and level of service. I highly recommend Emily to other business owners that need graphic design support.
